DUE TO SNOW CLOSURE, this concert will be rescheduled - details coming.
Call time for musicians: 6:00.
Wear: jeans and RESMS Music t-shirt
This concert will feature musicians from elementary, middle, and high school and will culminate in a combined piece involving all students! It’s a chance to show the community the progression of the Seattle Public Schools instrumental music program from the levels of elementary through high school and to attract and retain students to the program.
As part of the SPS protocol for overnight trips, we are holding a mandatory parent/guardian meeting for all students and families involved on the trip. At this meeting, we will review the itinerary, assign chaperone groupings, and address behavior expectations for the students.
The meeting is for parents/guardians and chaperones/volunteers — students welcome, but not required.
It’s mandatory that families receive this information. If you can’t attend the meeting, contact Mr. Aguilar.

Students choose to prepare a solo or ensemble piece and present it to a panel of well-renowned and acclaimed adjudicators. The students will receive feedback on their playing and a rating based on their performance. Unlike its high school counterpart, this festival is non-competitive, but rather a chance to showcase the individual learning of students by playing repertoire outside of their regular school music.
Entry deadline: (extended!) Wednesday, Feb 28
Fee: $18 for solo, $28 for ensemble (divided amongst the group)
